Chapter 1

Rise to Power - Following the fall of the golden god, a vacuum for power was created. Seizing the opportunity Tezoatlipoca began to rise from the sea. 11” x 17” print available
Destruction - Tezoatlipoca's rival, Quetzalcoatl, couldn't stand that Tezcatlipoca was ruling the universe, so he knocked him out of the sky. In his rage at being knocked out of the sky, Tezcatlipoca transformed into a jaguar and destroyed the earth. 11” x 17” Print Available
Resurrection - After the destruction of the earth by Tezcatlipoco, Mictlantecuhtli, god of the dead and the underworld summoned Ozomatli from the remains of Quetzalcoatl. 11” x 17” Print Available
Ozomatli’s Task — Set with a daunting task, Ozomatli harnessed Tezcatlipoca’s powers and with the guidance of Xochipilli set forth to rebuild what was destroyed, and paint a new world. 11” x 17” print available

Conquest - Quetzalcoatl rose from the sea full of rage, with one goal, to reclaim his kingdom. Fueled with the lust for vengeance and greed, Quetzalcoatl took to the sky and commanded his army of conquistador destroying all who stood against him. 11” x 17” print available
A rabbit offered herself as food to save Quetzalcoatl’s life. Quetzalcoatl raised the rabbit to the moon and stamped her silhouette on it. 11” x 17” prints available

Chapter 2

Creation - When the earth was only sky and water living in the land of spirits, The Raven flew carrying a stone in its beak, the raven dropped the stone into the ocean. The stone then expanded and grew into islands and land.

Origins - Namxiyalagiyu, a halibut-like monster came ashore and transformed himself to a man named 'Namukustolis. Namukustolis became lonely, so he snared some birds and transformed them into people.

Discovery - The earth was nothing but sky and water, as the waters receded a raven, bored of flying landed on a beach, while walking around he heard strange noises coming from a clam shell. He opened the shell to investigate, inside he discovered the first humans.

Birth of Light - In the beginning there was no light in the world, an old magician had hidden in a box. The Raven, tired of the darkness stole and open the box releasing light into the world filling the sky with the sun, moon and stars.

Creation of Man - Fox gathered service-berry sticks, working all night he whittled them down. The shavings were made into common people. The finished sticks were made into warriors and chiefs. At sunset he turned them into people. Fox then sent them away, some in one direction and some in another.

Annoyance - There was an old woman with long braids named Octopus walking along the shore of a rocky beach digging for clams. While she was searching a raven flying over head saw her, the curious raven landed on the beach and watched old woman Octopus. Raven being curious and mischievous decided to walk over to Octopus to annoy and pester her. After ignoring the raven for a while, Octopus became annoyed and decided to turn the tables on the raven. Octopus’s braids began to transform into long tentacles, the tentacles reached out and wrapped around the raven. Octopus held the raven until the tide had rose past their heads, drowning the raven.
Desert Omens. The cactus wren symbolizes several traits, Resilience, Resourcefulness, Communication and Persistence. Encountering a cactus wren can vary significantly based on the context of the encounter. A Nesting Wren, may signify the need to create security and protection in your own life. A Singing Wren could be a nudge to listen to your inner voice. A Feeding Wren, No matter how tough the situation appears, sustenance and success can be found with effort and ingenuity.
